DOSBox Portable emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, modem, etc., necessary for running many old DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems. While not restricted to games, the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early developement.

Helpful Tip: You can have DOSBox automatically mount a path on your portable device by editing your dosbox.conf file in the DOSBoxPortable\Data\settings directory and adding the following line to the end of the file (replacing PathOnMyDevice with the path you'd like to mount as your C drive): mount c \PathOnMyDevice

You can install standalone by opening the portable app, or you can install using and on the PortableApps.com platform.
