This is the source code of LimeWire under GNU GPL free software license, retrieved from the official site on May 17th, 2010. You may also find the dump of the wiki, fetched on July 4th and which is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution.

The releaser had made no changes, only re-archived them in arj format so as to add recovery records. 7zip knows how to open them. If the archive is corrupted, you may simply type arj q filename.arj in the working directory to repair it -- you'll need to have open source arj installed.
This update adds the source tarball of the unofficial version known as 5.6.2 so that the remote kill switches can also be diff'ed. For direct downloads, this SourceForge link may be useful.
Versions of LimeWire up to and including 5.5.10 didn't have kill switches inserted in the code and therefore still work, but because a court ordered LimeWire to stop distributing the application there are no executable binaries in this post (although plenty of sites still host them).

The source code and the wiki archives are simply intended to those who would like to study them and learn from the inner workings of the application and compare with say FrostWire and Cabos. This way, possible security flaws will also have a better chance of being discovered.

A personal note: take a look at simpp.xml: it's cryptographically signed and includes parameters about what the client can do -- apparently only LimeWire could modify these settings.
