KGB defector Nikolai Dzerzhinsky (Ross Marquand) convinces Washington Post Editor-In-Chief Howard Simons (James Cromwell) to send a reporter for a rendezvous in an abandoned Mexican prison near the Juarez/El Paso border. CIA project manager Anthony Greenglass (Michael Wincott) sends special agent Robert Harper (Michael Scovotti) to intercept Nikolai...and kill him.

A Lonely Place for Dying is being released as a five-part series through VODO. The first four episodes will be released monthly. The fifth episode will be released in early February after the film has begun its US Theatrical release. In addition, the project will include two music releases highlighting the work of composer Brent Daniels.
